About the Role

Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Operative will be responsible for the management of material from receipt through to issue.

What you'll be doing

  • Unloading/loading Vehicles.
  • Goods In – Visual inspection and acceptance of incoming material and packaging to ensure consignments are correct as per purchase order and quality requirements.
  • Storage of material in accordance with material control and product preservation procedures.
  • Inventory movements ensuring system transactions are completed accurately.
  • Order picking and delivery of kits to production.
  • Picking and packaging of items for dispatch.
  • Cycle count inventory to ensure accurate stock status.
  • Ensuring externally stored material is suitably covered to prevent contamination.
  • Work with Stores Team Leader to improve operating procedures to continuously meet customer expectations.
  • Assist in stock take process according to company procedures.
  • Comply with regulations and policies in environmental, health and safety and quality.
  • Participate in risk assessments and health and safety audits.
  • Daily housekeeping of Stores and yard area to ensure areas are clean and tidy.
  • Any other duties as required to fulfil role and schedule.

About You

You'll need to have:

  • • Experience working in a stores environment.
  • • Well organised and capable of prioritising and multi-tasking, and working to agreed schedules.
  • • Must be computer literate, experience in the use of MRP systems.
  • • Self-motivated.
  • • Flexible approach to the workload.
  • • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for the role.
  • • 3.5 ton forklift driving license.

It would be great if you have:

  • • 5 ton forklift driving license.
  • • Banksman Training.
