FINDINGS: After four years, Irish Salt Mines’ Derek Moore (Mine Manager) reported no visible signs of wear on Smiley Monroe’s King Rollers running and reported they had withstood storage and power washing which often has a detrimental effect on rollers. The HDPE frame makes King Roller™ suitable for humid and corrosive environments while the triple labyrinth seal protects bearings from dust and moisture ingress. The self – cleaning low friction surface, greatly reduces carry back material buil up on the roller face, the main cause of belt tracking problems, material spillage, premature wear and failure of steel rollers. Irish Salt Mines reported a 14% cost reduction on their conveyor power consumption as well as a 50% noise reduction on their tunnel conveyor when they switched to King Roller.
